A woman in her mid-40s was found dead Monday at a home in Mission Viejo but authorities said they believe her death was not the result of a crime.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called at approximately 10:08 a.m. to a residence in the 27000 block of Carpicho, south of Oso Parkway, when they were notified that a woman was unconscious in the home, Sgt. Scott Steinle told City News Service.
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
“At this time, we do not see this as a criminal act,” Steinle said.
Detectives interviewed several tenants who are renting rooms at the home as part of their investigation, said Steinle.
