Two suspects in a shooting and robbery in Moreno Valley were arrested and a third suspect was killed, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 12000 block of Clark Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived, they located a dead man with gunshot wounds. Evidence at the crime scene led deputies to an apartment where they found a second man suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel took him to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities found that the shooting occurred during a robbery in which the dead man allegedly was one of three suspects. He was identified as Robert Valdez, 34, of Riverside.

Valdez was allegedly shot by the robbery victim who was also shot during the incident, according to the sheriff’s department. The two additional suspects were identified as 21-year-olds Alex Galvan of Moreno Valley and Briciera Santacruz of Riverside.
Galvan was detained during a traffic stop on Toucan Place in Moreno Valley late Thursday while Santacruz was arrested at a residence in Moreno Valley at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday.
Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. No information about the robbery victim was immediately available.
