A man held up a Moreno Valley convenience store Friday, emptying the register and fleeing the area before deputies arrived.
The robbery occurred about 3:45 a.m. at a store in the 13200 block of Perris Boulevard, near Dracaea Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Adel Botros said the suspect walked into the business, brandished a handgun and demanded that the clerk hand over cash.
After the victim complied, the man fled in an unknown direction, Botros said.
A description of the suspect was unavailable.
