An 80-year-old man who was reported missing in Long Beach Thursday morning was found dead in his vehicle in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles, authorities said Thursday.
Police said there were no signs of foul play.
Abraham Theophilus had last been seen around 5:30 a.m. Thursday at his residence in the 3400 block of Linden Avenue. Police said he was believed to be in his vehicle, a silver 2010 Hyundai with license plate #6MJY986.
Theophilus, who police said suffered from medical conditions and may easily become disoriented, was described as a Black man who is 5-feet-6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, Theophilus was found dead in his vehicle by the Los Angeles Police Department at about 4 p.m. in the Crenshaw neighborhood.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office was investigating the cause of death.
