A fire in Westchester Sunday damaged a detached garage in the rear of a two-story duplex, authorities said.
The 18 firefighters dispatched at 8:23 a.m. to 8042 S. Alverstone Ave. had the blaze out within 30 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
“Firefighters will be on scene for approximately two hours conducting overhaul due to excessive storage conditions,” the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.
