One person suffered major injuries Monday morning when a car crashed into the center divider of the Escondido (215) Freeway in Riverside.
The crash was reported at 2:19 a.m. on the northbound Escondido Freeway north of Central Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Debris was reported across all lanes of the freeway from the damaged white Nissan sedan, the CHP said.
One person was taken to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of major injuries, the CHP said.
The northbound freeway lanes were shut down about 2:35 a.m. and traffic was diverted off at Central Avenue while Caltrans workers repaired the center divider and debris was cleared.
