A man pronounced dead in Commerce after suffering from blunt force trauma to his upper torso was identified Friday as 22-year-old Garrett Kobler.
Deputies from the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded at 5:56 p.m. Thursday to the 6400 block of Flotilla Street, two blocks west of Garfield Avenue, where they found Kobler, who was not breathing, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
The assault occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.
