An armed suspect was barricaded Monday in Canyon County, and sheriff’s personnel were working to take him into custody.
Deputies went to the 19300 block of Newhouse Street about 6:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Delight Street and Whites Canyon Road were closed, and people were urged to avoid the area.
A sheriff’s SWAT team and crisis negotiators were working to contact the suspect. The standoff was continuing nearly three hours afterward, authorities said.
