Fire damaged a single-story home in the Canoga Park area Friday, but no injuries were reported.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded just before 4 p.m. to the fire in the 22000 block of West Strathern Street, with crews encountering heavy smoke in the rear of the structure.
It took crews about 20 minutes to knock down the flames. Crews on the scene reported that they tended to one “elderly” person outside the home, but the person did not appear to be injured.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause the fire remained under investigation.
