Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished a brush fire in the area of Mount Washington Sunday.

The fire was reported around 4:10 p.m. near 1428 W. Cliff Drive, according to firefighters.

Aerial reconnaissance and command support from an LAFD helicopter helped the first arriving LAFD ground personnel hold the fire to less than half an acre of light grass.

Firefighters reported the fire extinguished in just under 28 minutes.

No injuries or structure damages were reported.
