A Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old was fatally stabbed Sunday night in downtown Los Angeles.
The stabbing took place around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of 1st and Hill streets, Los Angeles police officer Robin Sanchez said.
The fire department responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead at the scene from one stab wound to the chest.
A motive for the stabbing was unknown, Sanchez said.
His name will be withheld pending notification of the next of kin. Police do not have any description of the suspect.
