Two people were arrested for allegedly breaking into a Palm Desert business and stealing approximately $40,000 of merchandise, authorities said Saturday.
Michael James Graham, 53, of Lakewood and Ali Danielle Castillo, 27, of Orange, were arrested in Anza in the white Chevy Suburban that was used in the crime and the stolen goods were recovered, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Palm Desert station responded to an alarm call in the 73400 block of El Paseo at 4:26 a.m. Friday. Authorities say Graham used a window punch to break a window to the business and steal merchandise valued at approximately $40,000, while Castillo was the lookout and getaway driver.
Graham and Castillo were booked into the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of stolen property, vandalism, and violation of probation.
