A child was rescued from a vehicle after a two-vehicle crash involving a suspected DUI driver, who was arrested at the scene.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Jason and Flynn drives, in a neighborhood adjacent to the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, according to The Signal newspaper.
A child was rescued from a vehicle by off-duty nurse Shawn Spencer, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Richard O’Neal told the paper.
One of the cars ended up suspended in the air over a smashed fire hydrant gushing water, the paper reported.
Deputies arrested a 26-year-old Canyon Country resident on suspicion of driving under the influence, the newspaper reported. Authorities have not yet released the name of driver.
