An 18-year-old motorist in Baldwin Hills was fatally injured and his three passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash that police believe was triggered by a suspected drunk driver, authorities said Saturday.
Paramedics were dispatched at 11:42 p.m. Friday to La Brea Avenue, near Coliseum Street, where a person was trapped inside a vehicle, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The 18-year-old motorist was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His three passengers — all women — were also taken to a hospital, suffering from minor injuries, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division reported.
The suspected drunk motorist was hospitalized in stable condition, police said. It was not immediately clear if that driver was arrested.
