Police Wednesday released video of a hit-and-run crash that killed a man crossing a street in Valley Glen.

The man was struck by a small light blue SUV around 1 a.m. Monday while he was walking on Sherman Way, west of Bellaire Avenue, police said.

The minivan driver pulled into a shopping center parking lot on Sherman Way, then proceeded westbound without stopping or attempting to assist the man, police said.

Detectives are seeking the driver of a white minivan who pulled into the shopping center and may have witnessed the crash.

The pedestrian has not been was identified. Police said he was an Asian man around 35-40 years old. Initial reports suggested the man may have been homeless.

The city of Los Angeles offers a standing reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the perpetrators of fatal hit-and-run crashes.
