At least one person was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday in South El Monte.
The crash occurred at the entrance to a bike trail at Thienes Avenue and Parkway Drive around 4:05 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was unclear if the victim was on a bicycle or on foot.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known and there was no immediate description of the victim available.
