A bear took a dip in the backyard Jacuzzi of a Burbank home Friday, then climbed over a wall and up a nearby tree — where the animal was being monitored by police and other authorities.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Paseo Redondo near Elmwood Canyon at around 3:30 p.m. to a report of a bear at a residence, according to Sgt. Stephen Turner, the Burbank Police Department’s public information officer.
Police continued to monitor the bear with the assistance of personnel from the Burbank Animal Shelter and California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
