County firefighters were battling a brush fire Saturday in Santa Clarita.
The fire ignited near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon and Newhall Ranch roads around 3 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Craig Little.
Forward progress of the brush fire was slowed by 3:47 p.m., the Signal newspaper reported.
Firefighters were expected to remain on scene until at least 5 p.m., Little said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
