The Long Beach Police Department’s Neighborhood Safety Bike Team and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine will host a free event Tuesday to promote safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Organizers of the Bike & Pedestrian Rodeo will provide information about traffic signs and signals and how to properly ride bicycles, officials said. Free bike and helmet inspections will also be offered.
The event will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Houghton Park, 6301 Myrtle Ave.
The rodeo is open to children of all ages, however, children must have a permission slip.
