Fire crews quickly extinguished a fire that burned in the attic of a single-story home in the Chatsworth area Wednesday.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire was reported around 5:10 p.m. in the 22000 block of West Hiawatha Street near Glade Avenue. It took crews less than 30 minutes to douse the blaze.
A female resident of the home was evaluated at the scene for an unspecified medical complaint, but it was unclear if she required hospitalization.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. There was no immediate estimate on the amount of damage to the home.
