Four people were arrested Saturday for driving while intoxicated and 19 were taken into custody for operating a vehicle without a license or with a suspended or revoked license in Riverside during a DUI/driver’s license operation.
The checkpoint was held from 8 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday at Van Buren Avenue, south of Garfield Street, said Sgt. James Elliott of the Riverside Police Department.
Elliott said 1,031 vehicles were screened during the checkpoint operation.
