A 39-year-old man was arrested on an a alleged domestic violence incident in Lake Elsinore, authorities announced Saturday.
David Bergstrom of Lake Elsinore was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta Friday night on suspicion of domestic violence and public intoxication, and was being held on $1 million bail.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Lake Elsinore station responded to a residence in the 32400 block of Stoneman Street at 11:46 a.m. Friday to a domestic violence call.
Authorities said the suspect later barricaded himself inside his residence and did comply with deputies’ orders to surrender. The Riverside Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau was called on scene and apprehended Bergstrom.
It was unclear if there were any injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation.
