A Los Angeles police officer was injured during a march against rent increases in the Boyle Heights area Sunday.
The march began at 10 a.m. at Hollenbeck Park at 415 S. St. Louis St., with the L.A. Tenants Union protesting the Los Angeles Housing Department’s proposed 9% rent increase on rent-controlled units.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to City News Service that one officer was injured, but authorities had no immediate update on his condition or the nature of his injury.
No arrests were reported.
