Fire crews knocked down a blaze Monday at a Jack in the Box restaurant in the Vermont Vista community of south Los Angeles, authorities said.

Firefighters responded at 1:50 p.m. to the restaurant at 11400 S. Figueroa Street and it “took just 45 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish stubborn flames,” said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The restaurant, built in 2002, was in operation at the time of the fire, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
