A fire in an approximately 50-foot by 75-foot area of brush in Sylmar Wednesday evening was extinguished in 41 minutes.
Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department were called at 9:50 p.m. to the junction of the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway and the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway where they surrounded the burn area and rapidly doused it with water, LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
No injuries were reported.
