A fire at what authorities called a vacant and structurally unstable home was quickly knocked down Wednesday in Echo Park.
Firefighters were called at 5:07 a.m. to 324 N. Firmin St., west of North Boylston Street and the Hollywood (101) Freeway where they encountered the fire at the 988-square-foot, one-story home, which was built in 1908, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
It took 36 firefighters 25 minutes to put out the flames.
Humphrey said no injuries were reported.
