A woman was arrested on suspicion of killing another woman inside a home in Huntington Beach, police said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched on a call for assistance about 4:20 a.m. to a residence in the 6000 block of Tyndall Drive, where they located the 48-year-old suspect, Christine Lamphier of Huntington Beach, near the front door of the home, said Huntington Beach police Sgt. Anthony Pham.
Officers then located the dead woman, described only as “elderly,” inside the residence, Pham said.
“The adult female was detained and the area was secured,” he said. “The preliminary investigation indicated the adult female and elderly female were known to each other.”
Lamphier was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
Detectives urged anyone with any information regarding the death to call 714-878-5670 or OC Crime Stoppers at 855-847-6227.
