Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was fatally shot in the Whittier area.
Deputies responded at 11:55 p.m. Monday to the 10200 block of Bernardino Avenue and Pioneer Boulevard, near the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to homicide Lt. Omar Camacho of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
James Garcia, 44, of Hacienda Heights was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was available.
