A 45-year-old man was ejected from a vehicle when it rolled over during a crash that involved three other vehicles in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The crash occurred at 8:55 p.m. Sunday outside 13201 W. Roscoe Blvd., said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
Video from the scene showed the mangled wreckage of a car and a white canopy concealing the driver’s body.
His car was westbound on Roscoe Boulevard when it collided with another westbound vehicle, according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
That collision pushed the second westbound vehicle into eastbound lanes where it collided with a third vehicle that overturned, she said.
The man’s car continued westbound and crashed into a parked vehicle and a light pole then overturned, she said. The man was ejected.
The ejected driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said.
Four people were taken by ambulances to hospitals with minor injuries, she said.
