Police located a suspicious substance in Van Nuys Thursday, which impacted traffic, and had it transported for disposal.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Tyrone Avenue and Sylvan Street around 2:10 p.m. Thursday regarding a hazmat situation.

Police reported that the suspicious substance was collected and removed from the area for disposal around 6:40 p.m.

There were no reports of any individuals transported to a hospital, and the area is back to regular operation.
