Firefighters were battling a greater alarm blaze Sunday evening inside a one-story row of businesses in Van Nuys.
The fire was reported at 9:32 p.m. at 6415 Van Nuys Blvd., the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange reported.
News video from the scene showed flames covering the roof of the building.
“Approximately 100 firefighters are on scene fighting the fire,” Prange said. “Crews have switched to defensive mode, fighting the fire from the exterior.”
It appeared three of the businesses were involved in flames, he said.
