One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.
Deputies responded to reports of a suspected DUI driver around 11:05 p.m. Saturday, authorities said — adding that, as deputies were responding, the single-vehicle crash occurred in the area of Riverview Drive and 42nd Street.
Upon arrival, deputies found the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle dead.
The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team has assumed the investigation. The cause of the crash was unknown, and it was unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role.
The identity of the driver was withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
