A fire that broke out Wednesday in a Mead Valley home caused significant damage, displacing the five occupants, who were not injured.
The blaze was reported at 5:25 a.m. in the 21600 block of Corson Avenue, near Clark Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging inside the single-story residence.
All of the occupants evacuated safely.
Firefighters engaged in a nearly 30-minute suppression operation, fully containing the blaze just after 6 a.m., according to officials.
Damage to the structure made it uninhabitable, and Red Cross personnel were requested to assist the five adult occupants with finding temporary alternate lodgings, according to the fire department.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
