A motorist in a pickup truck was chased by authorities in the Pomona area Thursday before crashing into a car and coming to a stop.
The crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday at Mission Boulevard and Brea Place, and officers were in a standoff with the suspect, who may have been injured.
The other motorist was being examined for a possible injury.
A dog had been in the pickup truck, but appeared to have jumped or been thrown from the vehicle, according to KTLA5.
The chase reportedly involved Rialto and Fontana police officers, as well as California Highway Patrol personnel. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was also involved in the chase.
The motorist reportedly was involved in a vandalism incident.
