A man was killed Sunday when a vehicle was driven off the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in East Los Angeles.
The vehicle went off the southbound freeway at the Garfield Avenue off-ramp onto the surface streets, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred about 5:35 a.m., according to a watch commander at the sheriff’s East Los Angeles station.
The Medical Examiner’s office reported that 26-year-old Benjamin Ruano died in the vehicle.
