Authorities Thursday identified a motorist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving another vehicle in Canoga Park.

The crash occurred about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Alejandro Lopez Munoz, 26, of Northridge died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reported.

Investigators were working to determine if the crash involved street racing or possible road rage.

The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the suspect’s identification, arrest and conviction.
