An attic fire Saturday damaged a single-story home in Montecito Heights, authorities said Saturday.

Firefighters dispatched at 11:03 a.m. Saturday to 4418 N. Homer St. had the blaze out within 20 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

“One occupant escaped in good health,” the LAFD’s Nicholas Prange said. “Paramedics provided a medical evaluation as a precaution, but the occupant chose not to accept ambulance transport to the hospital. No further injuries.”

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
