A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV Friday in Temecula.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriffs Department’s Southwest Station were called at approximately 4:44 p.m. to the area of Rancho California Road and Margarita Road regarding a major injury traffic collision, said Sgt. William Pratt.
The deputies found the SUV and the rider of the motorcycle, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed the SUV made a left turn out of a nearby business and collided with the motorcycle, Pratt said.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. It was not immediately unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the collision.
Anyone with information about this collision was asked to call Deputy Ott of the Southwest Sheriff’s Station at 951-696-3000 or the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office at 951-776-1099.
