Sheriff’s detectives Wednesday are investigating the death of a 3-year-old toddler in Lancaster.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department’s Lancaster Station were called at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday to the 43400 block of 57th Street West regarding a child bleeding and not breathing, Fox 11 reported.
The boy, who according to Fox 11 had cuts and abrasions on his chest, was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced dead.
A man at the residence was later taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Fox 11 reported that detectives were still investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death and were not yet calling the death a homicide.
