The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert to help the Los Angeles Police Department locate an at-risk 78-year-old man who went missing Saturday in the El Sereno area.
Jose Acosta was last seen about 11 a.m. Saturday at Huntington Drive South and Harriman Avenue, according to the Silver Alert. He is believed to be on foot.
Acosta is Hispanic, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 170 pounds, with gray hair and black eyes, and was last seen wearing a black sweater, gray shirt, blue pants and brown shoes.
Anyone with information was asked to call 911.
A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to aid in the search for them.
