A 31-year-old man shot and killed outside a Harbor Gateway sports bar was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The shooting occurred at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the 12000 block of South Figueroa Street, near 120th Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar.
Joel Villalobos was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man in his 40s was taken to a hospital by paramedics, Cuellar said.
A large crowd gathered near the crime scene but was eventually dispersed by police, he said.
The suspects were described as three males. The motive for the shooting was not available.
Video from the scene showed a distraught woman talking with officers and a white police canopy outside the El Diamante Sports Bar.
