A fire that consumed a tractor-trailer Thursday in Jurupa Valley spread to a building, which sustained damage before firefighters knocked down the flames.
The non-injury blaze was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of Felspar Street, near Galena Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine and truck crews were sent to the two-alarm fire and encountered flames raging in the big rig, extending to a 5,000-square-foot commercial structure.
All occupants of the business evacuated without incident.
Officials said that firefighters got the blaze under control about 10:25 a.m.
The truck was a loss, and there was damage to the exterior of the building, but the flames did not get inside, according to the fire department.
County Department of Environmental Health inspectors were requested due to leaks from fire-damaged electrical transformers.
The leaks were determined to be marginal, and no hazardous materials cleanup was required, according to reports from the scene.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
