Police Tuesday sought the public’s help to solve the killing of a man who was gunned down in Reseda.

Officers sent to the 7500 block of Jamieson Avenue on a shots-fired report around 7:20 p.m. Monday found a 60-year-old man “on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“The victim’s vehicle also had multiple gunshot impacts on the passenger side,” police said in a statement.

Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital, where he died. Information on his identity was not immediately available. Police were unsure of the motive for the crime.

The suspect drove away in an older-model black BMW sedan before the arrival of officers, police said. Detectives described the suspect as a man in his 20s. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses and a white T-shirt, heading northbound on Jamieson Avenue, approaching Saticoy Street.

Anyone with information about the case was urged to call the LAPD Valley Bureau Homicide office at 818-374-9550, or 877-LAPD-247. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS, or use the website lacrimestoppers.org.
