A 37-year-old man was killed in a high-speed, multi-car, hit-and-run collision in the West Adams area and police Friday were investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called around 11:30 p.m. Thursday to the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard and Harcourt Avenue, where they learned a vehicle was being driven at high speed when it hit the vehicle being driven by the victim then crashed into a nearby building, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and witnesses told police the driver of the second vehicle ran away from the area.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim as Leonardo Sanchez Palomar.
