A motorist was rescued Tuesday after crashing about 400 feet down an embankment from Angeles Crest Highway in the La Canada Flintridge area.
Firefighters were sent to the highway at mile marker 31 about 6:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The motorist was brought to safety and was taken to a hospital in unknown condition about 8 a.m., the fire department reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
