A man riding an electric scooter was killed by a car in Long Beach Saturday.
The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ximeno Avenue and Shaw Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A woman driving a Ford C-Max was heading south on Ximeno when she struck the scooter.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The woman stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, the LBPD reported.
Police were attempting to determine if the man had run a stop sign at the location prior to the collision.
