The passenger in a black SUV that had been pursued by police was taken into custody, while the driver escaped into a Long Beach home, where he was holed up Sunday evening.
The pursuit began playing out on KCAL9 around 7:40 p.m. Sunday. Near Alpine and Carlin avenues, the vehicle came to a stop and the driver was seen running before jumping a fence and entering a home.
By 7:45 p.m., one suspect was seen being handcuffed and put into a police vehicle.
Police were outside the home, where passersby lingered.
