A man was shot while walking in a residential neighborhood of Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Officers dispatched at about 7:20 p.m. Friday to a shooting in the 6700 block of Obispo Avenue contacted the man, who told them he was walking in the area when he was shot by an unknown suspect.
A crime scene was located and the incident was under investigation, but no suspect description was immediately available.
