At least two people were shot Saturday in or near a Lancaster park.
The shooting was reported about 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the area of El Dorado Park, at Fifth Street East and Nugent Street, Lt. M. Politano of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station told City News Service.
“More than one” person was wounded, Politano said. Deputies set up a perimeter in hopes of containing suspects.
A news videographer at the scene reported at least three people were wounded, and footage showed paramedics tending to two of them.
Witnesses said the shooting was preceded by a fight, the videographer reported.
