Police sought the public’s assistance Thursday in identifying a hit-and-run driver who severely injured an 84-year-old woman.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Cole Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard around 6:35 p.m. Saturday and found an injured pedestrian.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital, where the woman remains in serious condition, police said.
The city has a standing offer of $25,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of suspects involved in an injury hit-and-run crash.
Detectives described the suspected vehicle as a possible 2004-2010 four-door black Pontiac with rear tinted windows and a missing front license plate.
